Featured: Kanga Love – A Revolutionary Type Love

Many of us are lucky enough to live in countries where it’s relatively safe and legal to be queer, but that’s not the case everywhere. In Kenya it is still illegal. Because of this, queer love is not celebrated and is considered a sin.

Kanga Love was created out of this.

Kanga Love is a visual art project created by Kawira Mwirichia. A Kanga is an East African traditional cloth used in celebrations, like weddings. “To Revolutionary Type Love is a showcase of rainbow love for the Kenyan queer community.
